Under the terms of the agreement, Merck Millipore gained exclusive rights to further develop and commercialize Singulex's Single Molecule Counting (SMC) technology for research applications worldwide. Merck Millipore paid Singulex an upfront payment, royalties and additional payments based upon achievement of certain commercial milestones.
